Change Me ~ A Prayer for These Times

Have you prayed harder than ever before in the last year?

Have you gotten mad at God or your Spirit Guides and asked them to speak louder and send more signs?

Have you wondered if the day of awakening would ever come?

This song is a prayer and a plea to be shown the way in a lost mad world. I wanted to remember why I chose to be here at this time. I knew we would start cracking the codes and working together eventually but we sure waited until the final hour. Whether you believe in heaven, ascension, or that this is all there is, you can either live for change or wait to die. I chose to live and fight for the soul, starting with my own, and that changes the collective soul. If this song speaks to you, you might be one of those souls who has been coming around this planet for a while.

Whether we are conscious of it or not, we are working together with other dimensional realms to repair the damage to the web of humanity. Now is the time to circle up with our diverse planet of brothers and sisters, plants and animals, children, ancestors, Spirit Guides, ETs & aliens, your Higher Self of course, and whatever you believe is supporting you. For you it might be one God, for me it’s the Cosmic Mother of the Universe and Gaia, our Earth Mother. Whatever it is for you, create circles of higher frequency. I’m talking about community circles with shared values. In this way, we open up portals of ascension energy and work together to impact the collective consciousness.

“On the bank she stood with her shield

Covered with snakes and eyes that could kill”

In the 3rd verse, I conjure up the goddess Athena because I live in a city where there’s a replica of the Greek Parthenon where her statue holds her shield with Medusa’s head of snakes. Most of us don’t realize the significance of this relationship but Nashville is the “Athens of the South” just like Memphis wanted to be connected to Memphis in ancient Egypt. EVERYTHING is connected and these are all interesting little reminders. Medusa was one of Athena’s priestesses and was caught in her temple being seduced by Poseidon. In a jealous rage, Athena turned Medusa’s hair into snakes capable of turning onlookers into stone, the perfect protection.

The goddess of wisdom and war, Athena had a shadow and a side that served humanity. There’s so much beauty and darkness in our dualistic reality. Duality creates war and division because there’s always a right and wrong way and we like to argue about who is right. In our nondual practices, we understand we have to transmute the darkness by seeing it and bringing it into the light of consciousness to be integrated. This creates compassion for ourselves which translates to others. We have to engage with our shadow side and integrate our consciousness so we can elevate our culture and evolve further into heart-centered living.

“Here’s to the ones who gave up their dreams

Fighting their way to tighten the seams

We’re circling up and holding the gates

What’s to destroy, it’s time to create”

The 4th verse of this song honors the ancestors who sacrificed so that we might have a better world. They were attempting to create societies but for the last 5000 years or more succumbed to a power-over system of domination or control. It’s as if everyone became confused by the shift from internal knowing to giving our power away to an outside source. It was beaten out of us, we were burned, stoned, and tortured for it. The “middle man” was created between us and the Divine. Many mystics were murdered and as a collecctive we lost our gnosis or direct experience and knowing of the Divine. The healed strong ancestors who see this destructive path are cheering us on and supporting us from the other side, the realm of the dead which knows no time and space.

It’s time to reflect the light we see in each other and the Divine and shine! If that seems out of reach right now for you remember this and find your soul tribe. “Wherever two or more are gathered, here I am.” This is Matthew 18:20 and to me it is about the support we inherently need at times of darkness to feel the presence of the Divine or Christ’s Presence in this bible verse. It reminds me of the indigenous and pagan ways of circling up with other powerful souls to co-create. In circle, there is no hierarchy. We can be leaders without the patriarchal version of power and control over others including control of resources, and information of all kinds.

Let our ripples spread throughout the Cosmos, into the Earth, and beyond!

Blessed Be! Namaste! Ajo! Amen!

Love, love, love,

Jenna

Change Me ~ Lyrics

Verse 1

We don’t care about getting mud on our wings

We don’t care about the frivolous things

We’re here to roll up our sleeves

We’re here watching her weave

Verse 2

Already know that we can fly

Streak of gold falling through the sky

Below is where we go to be reborn

Stay til the end of the longest war, longest war.

Chorus

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Show Me. Show Me

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Change me. Change me

Verse 3

On the bank she stood with her shield

Covered with snakes and eyes that could kill

She called on the Dr’s, weavers, and nuns

It’s safe for the ancients and innocent ones

Innocent ones

Chorus

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Show me. Show me.

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Change me. Change me.

Bridge

Already on the other side looking back at your soul with pride

Remembering everything you knew the flame of your heart is burning through, burning through

Verse 4

Here’s to the ones who gave up their dreams

Fighting their way to tighten the seams

We’re circling up and holding the gates

What’s to destroy, it’s time to create

Time to create.

Chorus

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Show me. Show me.

Bless the dark. Shine the light

Change me. Change me.

Change Me. Change me.

Change me. Change me.

Change me. Change me.
